REPORT ON INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO RTTC.

Objective:
The main objective of‘Industrial Visit-RTTC’ event was to give the students, an idea of the kind of basic knowledge every electronics and communication engineer should have. It permits the students to have an industrial visit to the latest telecom equipment available across the globe.
Details of visit:
It was a one day industrial visit. During the visit, the following lab/equipment are demonstrated to the students:
- Electronic switch(CDOT)
- Mobile / GSM &Wimax BTS
- Optical fibre cable,SDH,DWDM, systems
- Broadband & IPV4/IPV6 Networking equipment.
The students experienced and visualised the machinery and the technology used in the BSNL-RTTC .

Feedback:
About 210 students have attended the visit where the response was positive from everyone.Students are interested in gaining knowledge on modern telecommunication working system and this basic level lecture and visit gave them a good understanding.Looking forward for more such visits which give immense exposure to real time communication systems and technology.
