Celebrating International Photonics Day in Canberra through two seminars:

1- seminar given by Dr. Fouad Karouta, ACT Section chair, and is intended for a larger audience, thus for a non-specialised audience explaining the bascis of light and connecting it to to photonics and to semiconductors through a general description of light emitting diodes, lasers and integrated optics and their relation to our daily life: smart phones, computers, internet, etc..
