Tutorial on MATLAB Bioinformatics Toolbox
There are many tools for DNA and protein sequence analysis and alignment. However many of them are working like a black box. It is difficult to understand the principles of working and development of new algorithms used in these tools. Therefore, this talk will cover the basics of sequence alignment and analysis using a tool, which can also be used further for analysis and development of new algorithms for sequence alignment.

It is difficult to understand the principles of working and development of new algorithms used in these tools. Therefore, this talk will cover the basics of sequence alignment and analysis using a tool, which can also be used further for analysis and development of new algorithms for sequence alignment. This will cover in detail 1. Basics of Pair wise alignment (aligning of two sequences of different lengths) a. Dynamic programming b. Substitution Matrix/Scoring matrix c. Global and Local alignment 2. Basics of alignment of Multiple sequences 3. Introduction to MATLAB Bioinformatics Toolsbox 4. Sequence analysis and alignment using MATLAB Bioinformatics Toolbox
