[Legacy Report] A Technical quiz on energy efficiency and energy conservation
The event was held on 5th January 2017. It was organised by Dr.G.V.E.Satish kumar with the support of Sri Lakshmi narayana, IEEE Vizag bay subsection.
The main motive of quiz is to improve the knowledge about energy conservation. The reason behind the technical quiz was to throw light on realizing the need for conservation of energy and its efficient use.
Further, for accelerated promotion of energy efficiency in all sectors of the economy of the state, to take up large scale implementation of energy efficiency both in public and private sectors.
This quiz was held based on the note given by AP GOVERNMENT i.E., AP STATE ENERGY EFFICIENCY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (APSEEDCO) and EESL. APSEEDCO has been incorporated and started functioning with effect from 30-08-2016, with registered office at Vijayawada.
In this background it is felt necessary & expedient to create know how about energy efficiency & conservation among the Engineering students in the state, who are going to be the technocrats and Entrepreneurs dealing with energy in the years ahead.
In this view the technical quiz was conducted under IEEE student branch GVPCE(A). There is a positive response from students.
