Blockchain Hackathon event was scheduled on Thursday, February 9, 2017 for 3 days. The event was open to all developers. Among the participants were local corporate enterprises, startups, students, and fintech enthusiasts. The participants worked in teams of 4 and had access to industry, blockchain, and design thinking mentors who were available for consultation over the 3 days. On Saturday afternoon, the teams presented and showed, their demos to a panel of judges.

Blockchain is an emerging technology pattern that can radically improve banking, supply-chain, and other transaction networks, creating new opportunities for innovation
