[Legacy Report] [IEEE MJCET]: Effective CRM using Social Engagement and Machine Learning
Description
The event was conducted jointly by CIS (Computational Intelligence Society) and IEEE Computer Society. It was aimed at providing information to the students about the latest technological projects undertaken by Microsoft in CRM and Machine Learning. Two highly distinguished speakers from Microsoft: Ms. Bishnupriya Pradan and Mr. Kannan Chandrasekaran graced the stage and spoke at length about their latest projects.
The Event
The event started with Ilyas Habeeb, the ICS Secretary, reciting a few words of the Holy Qur’an. Mr. Sadia, the WIE Secretary, donned the role of an anchor and called eminent people onto the dais. They were:

- Dr. Kaleem Fatima - Branch Mentor - IEEE Student Chapter MJCET
Dr. Arifuddin Sohel, IEEE Branch Mentor, spoke a few words about the importance of learning new technologies and welcomed the speakers with grace.
Each of the invited guests spoke about how MJCET plays a crucial role in providing a platform for students to learn newer technologies and warmly welcomed the two speakers.
Ms. Bishnupriya Pradhan attended to the 1st Technical Session and spoke about Effective CRM using Social Engagement. She spoke about the importance of customer relations and how data is related to it. She introduced Microsoft Dynamics CRM as a CRM software package developed by Microsoft for sales. She also introduced the CRM API called (Cozyroc).
A 10-minute interval for refreshment followed after the technical session.
The 2nd technical session saw Mr. Kannan Chandrasekaran grace the stage and speak about Machine Learning. He spoke about the importance of Machine Learning in today’s era and how it is beneficial to study. He introduced his Project Irine which is a Cortana-type application created to bolster Microsoft sales. At the end of the session, he patiently answered all the questions asked by the students and the esteemed guests.
Memos were presented to the two speakers.
A vote of thanks ensued and the technical talk was concluded.
Conclusion
The Technical Talk achieved it’s aim and introduced CRM and Machine Learning effectively. Students were given feedback forms and were also given advices by the speakers on learning more about the respective topics.
