Minutes of Meeting of IEEE Vizag Bay Sub-Sectionwas held on 10-06-2017

An Executive Committee meeting of IEEE Vizag Bay Sub-Sectionwas held on 10-06-2017 at Officers’ Club, Visakhapatnam at 05:00 PM.

The following were present:

Item No: 1: Vizag Bay Student Congress:

Matter discussed at length. Student Volunteers are invited to present the views and action plan. All the members agreed to conduct this event at IETE Bhavan in Visakhapatnam.   Dr. T.S.N. Murty (JNTUK, Vijayanagaram), Dr. P. Satheesh(MVGR Vijayanagaram) and DrChisti(GITAM) are nominated to oversee all the activities of this event with lead Dr. T.S.N. Murty. This Sub-Committee will work and coordinate in the guidance of the Chair. This sub-committee will meet and prepare a detailed action plan and send to the Chair before 20^th June 2017.

Item No: 2: WIE Event funded by R10:

The issue discussed at length. All the members thanked the SEC, Hyderabad for their support of this grant. As R10 has given $300, the members mentioned that IEEE Hyderabad Section may support with another $150 equivalent.

Dr. N. Deepika Rani and Dr.Vijayaare nominated to oversee all the activities of this program with the guidance of the Chair.

Item No: 3: Invited talk on 24^th June.

An invited talkis planned for the professional members. Dr. Abraham mentioned that he would look for the resource person.

Item No: 3: AnIndustrial tour for professional members in July.

An Industrial tour is planned for the professional members to visit M/s Andhra Electronics, Kakinada in July end (30^th or 31^st July 2017).

All the members thanked Sri Sriram for traveling all the way from Kakinada to attend this meeting. The Meeting ended with vote of thanks to the Chair.
