2^nd International conference on Telecommunication and networks was organized by Amity Institute of Telecom Engineering and Management, Amity University Uttar Pradesh on 10^th and 11^th August 2017. The conference was technically co-sponsored by IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section.

Other technical sponsors’ include IEEE ED Chapter Delhi Section, IETE, and ITU.

The conference was attended by four IEEE distinguished lecturers Prof. Mohammed Slim Alouni,KAUST, Dr. Cher Ming Tan, CGU University,Prof. AlirezaBaghaiWadji, University of Capetown, Prof. M.E. Fayad, San Jose state University and many senior members of IEEE.

TELNET-2017 received an overwhelming response from India and abroad. We received a total of 380 research papers and 106 papers were accepted for technical presentation from India and abroad. Researchers from 21 states from India and 16 countries from abroad participated in the conference. In addition Technical program comprised of keynote talks in plenary sessions, technical paper sessions, a tutorial on Software Stability Model and a workshop on Entrepreneurship.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr. R. Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Advisor, Govt. of India and Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity. The dignitaries present in the inaugural session included Maj. General AtulMehra, Executive Director of ECIL, Mr. Anil Kaushal, member Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Mr. Munish Seth from Facebook, Dr. R.S. Pundir Director of Defence Electronics Application Laboratory (DEAL DRDO)and Shri Sanjay Tandon, Director of Institute of Technology Management, DRDO.

The conference was divided in seven tracks – Telecom technologies, computer science & IT, wired & wireless communication, Digital image processing, Microelectronics, network security and Telecom management. Four parallel sessions were held for each tracks and to total of 101 papers were presented in 20 Technical Sessions.. The sessions were chaired by IEEE senior members and other professors/scientists.

In the valedictory session Prof. A.P. Mittal, NSIT and Member Secretary AICTE, Mr. AntarpreetSingh , CEO and Co-Founder of MydigitalBlocks&Lincfast and senior officials of Amity University were present.

The conference has paved way for many international research collaborations
