This was the concluding workshop in the "HyWIT 2017" Series. 

It began with a derivation of basic results in information theory - starting with the definition of mutual information till the capacity of a BSC.

The phenomenon of polarization was discussed and the loss (or accretion) of information on certain channels was discussed. The accretion of information was used for the purpose of code construction. Post-lunch the session focussed on the decoding algorithm and a proof. Applications in in wireless communications were discussed.
