Troika - Annual Technical Festival of DTU
Annual Tech-Fest, consisting of competitions and events pertaining to various fields of engineering: The list of events under Troika is as follows:
Radix:
- 1. Robo-Race: An obstacle track is laid down which covers the OAT on which Mech-Bots compete to finish it in time.
- 2. Robo-Wars: An arena between heavy and strong robots riddled with destructive features.
- Autonomous 1: Robots, automated with the use of embedded systems are made to compete on time-testing tracks. Generally, increasing the difficulty level of a normal Line Following Robot Challenge.
- 4. Autonomous 2: Requires robots to use advanced embedded systems incorporating not only line following capability, but, also, different types of sensors acting as an interface between physical reality and computation.
Bits, Bytes and Bots:
- 1. Bits: On-Site Coding Event, generally innovated to create an interactive environment between teams and a continuous competition.
- Bytes: Online Coding Event.
- 3. Bots: AI Bots, coded by teams, compete in challenges like Anti-Chess and Checkers.
Technovision: Paper Presentation competition divided in 4 categories, Computer Science, Electronics & Electrical, Mechanical and Applied Sciences.
Design Pro:
- Design-o-thon: On-Site Graphic Designing completion based on an on-spot problem statement, given to the participants.
- 2. 3D-Pro: Problem Statement based AutoCAD Modelling competition.
- 3. Sketch-It: Online Sketching based competition.
- Ani-Mission: Problem Statement based Animation Making Competition, requiring the use of softwares like 3DS Max, Adobe Premiere and other video editing and animation tools.
Todo-En-Uno: IQ Ability testing event, for making the Techfest more welcoming to participants with less experience in core-technology based competitions.
Electrocution:
- Electro: Problem statement based competition for electrical students. No-Code, only wires event of Troika.
- Eureka: Electrical Hardware Presentation Event.
Brainwave:
- Embedded Systems: A problem statement is uploaded on the website, based on the specifications of which, an electronic hardware has to be developed and presented in front of the judges.
