Prof. A. Murali M. Rao

Biography:

Dr. Rao is currently working as Head of IT Division of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. He received PhD Degree in Computer Science (System & Network Security) from Central University of Hyderabad, M.Tech in Computer Science from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Dr. Rao has over 24 years of professional experience in the field of Information & Communication Technologies. He has Proficiency in Design, Development and Management of Application Software & Database Systems in a networked environment. He executed various projects in Configuring and Commissioning of modern Computing & Network Infrastructure, Network services and Security devices at various Organizations, where worked.

As an Academician, he taught various subjects to the Students of M.Tech, MCA, MBA and MSc Programmes. Apart from teaching, he guided many student projects and designed various Training Programmes too.

As a Researcher, Dr. Rao is working in the area of System & Network Security, Cloud Computing & Virtualization and Educational Technology. Many of his Research papers have been published in IEEE Computer Science, ACM, University Press and Scientific Journal on Education Technology and other. Dr. Rao shared National and International Conferences daises as a Session Chair, Keynote Speaker, and also presented several Research papers.

Dr. Rao is a Senior Member of IEEE, is the world’s largest technical professional organization  and contributing the IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Societies of Delhi Section in various capacities as an Executive Committee Chairperson, Secretary and Member,

Dr Rao worked as Joint Director, IT Division at IGNOU prior to the current Position. He was also associated with University of Hyderabad, NSL and other Private organizations as a computer professional in various capacities.

Prof. K. Subramanian

Biography:

Prof. DR.  K Subramanian, Chair, IEEE Delhi section , was the first director and Professor at Advanced centre for Informatics and Innovative Learning(ACIIL),  IGNOU and introduced 28 Advanced Technology, Engineering and Management Courses at Masters Level and started Research Programs in the Interdisciplinary areas of Knowledge Management, Informatics and Information and Communications Technologies and Management through Partnership Institutions. He was one of the founder creators of National Informatics Centre, Under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India and served there for 32 years .He served as the Information Technology Adviser to CAG of India (Comptroller & Auditor General of India) for more than a decade and Half, introducing IT audit infrastructure and capacity building for auditing Governmental (Federal/State/District) and Public sectors and autonomous bodies. He has over four decades of experience in Architecture, design, development, Implementation & Audit of Technology & Systems in the Union of India. 

A Pioneer in introducing Technology, Innovation - modernisation of Indian Financial Services industry, MEGA IT Projects of Railways, Police, Passport, Immigration, Postal and Telecom.  He has initiated Advanced Research and contributed in formation of National/International standards in Cyber Security, Audit and Forensics. In the field of Education, Educational Reforms and Governance, he is an expert, covering ICT for and in Education, developed and implemented Multilayer Open Source eLearning, & Management Framework.

 As a Capacity Building and Skill Development Expert, he was instrumental in the creation of

 ICISA (International Centre for Information Systems Audit) CAG of India,

He prepared a blueprint document for Government of Japan “Education on Demand”
