ATPDraw course - IEEE PES UFSM SB Chapter
This activity comprehended an ATPDraw course exclusively for members of the PES Chapter and/or members of the CEESP research group. The course was divided into three modules: basic, intermediate and advanced. The basic model had two classes on 29/10 and 05/11. In the first half of 2018, the intermediate module will begin.
Objectives:
1. Share knowledge about ATPDraw software between the members of the PES Chapter and CEESP members.
Perfomed activities:
- Brief history of the creation and development of ATP;
- ATP installation on Windows operating system;
- Brief history of the ATPDraw;
- ATPDraw installation on Windows operating system;
- Introduction of ATP using the ATPDraw graphic preprocessor:
- Parameter settings simulation;
- Configuration of voltage sources;
- Configuration of linear elements;
- Configuration of switches time controled;
- Viewing results using the PlotXY program.

He holds a bachelor's degree (2014) and a master's degree (2016) in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). He is currently a PhD student in the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering at UFSM and Professor at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology Education Farroupilha - Campus: Jaguari-RS (IF Farroupilha)

Biography:
He received the title of Electrical Engineer from Universidad de Antioquia, Medellín, Colombia in 2013. He worked for Specialized Engineering from 2013 to 2016 in the areas of substation design, coordination and testing of electrical protections. He holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Santa Maria - RS, Brazil
