[Legacy Report] Introduction to Directed Energy: RF and Antenna Design Issues

#Electronic #warfare
Share

Electronic warfare consists of electronic attack, electronic support, and electronic protection. Directed energy plays an important role in electronic attack. This seminar presents an introduction to directed energy, including both high-energy laser and high-power microwave.Specific design issues and parameters in high-power microwave are discussed, including average/peak power, bandwidth, pulse width/repetition, and antenna gains. Issues in both attack and countermeasures are discussed. Finally, directed energy applications in military, law enforcement, and commercial domains are presented.

Free refreshment/dinner will be served.

All are welcome. You don't have to be IEEE member to attend the talk.
