[Legacy Report] MAMNA & IEEE Fri 25Mar16 Symposium: Material Advantage: Pioneering Devices Enabled by Material Breakthroughs
Many of the largest breakthroughs in device performance traces back to an enabling material technology: such as new thin films with engineered structures, meta-stable materials, or physics enabled by low dimensional materials. Indeed, much of the promise of “nanotechnology” comes from Nano-scale materials science integrated successfully into device architectures. This workshop will explore the materials advances that have enabled break though technologies in the areas of Power and Energy, Bio and flexible, Electronics and Sensors, and Actuators. It aims to inspire attendees to collaborate using their materials advantage.
