[Legacy Report] Massive MIMO Technology Insights and Challenges
Overview
We will review different multi-antenna techniques, the definition of massive MIMO, and how it could be deployed in 5G communications systems. Simulation data will be shown highlighting the improvements in capacity expected from massive MIMO. Issues that will impact the performance of massive MIMO will be discussed as well as proposed solutions for testing massive MIMO systems.
Brian Kane is a Senior RF and Microwave Application Engineer within Keysight Technologies Electronic Measurement Group (EMG). Brian joined Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies in September 1980 and has held multiple positions in Manufacturing, Production Engineering, and System Engineering. His current role is to support various customers focused on cellular technologies like LTE , W-CDMA, and CDMA. Brian is based in the New York area. He has a BS/EE degree in Electrical Engineering and holds one US Patent.
