A National Level Hands on Workshop on Embedded System Design Using PSoC4 was organized for the benefit of the students by the IEEE Student Branch of the Kongu Engineering College with Robotics and Automation SocietyMadras Section, on 7^thJuly 2017. Dr. P A Manoharan, Chair, Robotics & Automation Society (RAS), Madras Section took over the workshop. The workshop was planned and executed for 1 day with enthusiastic participants posing challenges in programming with embedded system design and rejoicing it.

            The registrations started at 08.40 AM and the participants registered themselves and were moved to their training laboratory. The session started at 09:30AM with an Introduction to Embedded system covering all basic concepts like Introduction to embedded system and PSoC4, PSoC 4 Architecture, PSoC Applications. At about 11:30AM the participants along with the coordinators hanged out for refreshment. The session again took over at 11:45AM, with insights to learn the Demo using PSoC Creator. The concepts were explained with the query sessions at every level. After this knowledgeable session, the gathering moved out for Lunch.

The afternoon session began with the discussion and Hands-on session, using PSoC 4 development kit.  Introduction to PSoC, Design Flow,Digital Input and Output, PWM Interface, UART, Serial Component Interface, Capacitance Sensing, Seven Segment Display Interface were all taught to the participants. A Query session was also made so that the participants would be helped to clarify their queries.The day’s session ended with the fulfillment of designingconcepts to the attendees. The workshop finally ended with the distribution of certificates and group photos.
