Critical Thinking in Digital Product Design
Join IEEE Vancouver Young Professional on this Professional Development workshop about Critical Thinking in Digital Product Design. During this workshop, you will learn about this meaningful skill and have some hands-on experience developing a project from two experts on the Human-Computer Interaction field: Supratim Chakraborty (School of Interactive Arts and Technology, SFU), and Alejandra Gonzalez (Samsung Electronics).

Biography:
Supratim Chakraborty is an HCI researcher at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver. He specializes in Data Visualization Interactions, Design Research and User Experience Design. He is also a Design advisor for Playsolar, a sustainable energy B2C startup based out of Bangalore. He has also provided design consultation to several early stage startups in India through his consultancy service UX symphony.
He has previously worked as a UX designer for 1mg, Indias biggest healthcare platform serving more than 100 cities nationwide. He has also worked as an Android Developer for NewtonMail. The most respected consumer facing multi platform email client in the market.

Biography:
Senior UX designer at Samsung Electronics and co-founder of KimonioUX. I've collaborated with teams in Canada, USA, Mexico, China and Korea designing products and services for the retail, commercial, industrial and hight tech industries. My expertise is in problem solving and that's why I co-founded KimonioUX, where I help our clients understand and discover current challenges as well as their costumers' pain points, future desires and needs. I aim to create delightful, useful and usable end-to-end experiences
