IEEE Austin ComSoc & SP , EMBS & Compurter Combind chapters wuld like to invite to you a special session on

"Highlights of some NXP Initiatives for Smart City"

Presenter: Kwok Wu, PhD, Head of Embedded Software and Systems Solutions, Freescale/NXP Semiconductor.

Abstract:

NXP is engaged in delivering smart capabilities and features for use cases such as Autonomous self-driving cars, Smart connected Cars, and ADAS. The talk will take this approach to the next level by leveraging NXP’s Smart Machine Platform to deploy solutions for numerous smart city applications, pushing “mobile IOT” (m-IOT 4.0) to the “Edge”.

Three areas will be covered:

  1. Context-aware (Environment-aware) is enabled by Sensor Fusion processing of multiple sensors with various types of video cameras with Open-CV-based image recognition, Radar, and various wireless communication to provide object detection, differentiation and recognition.
  2. High performance, low-power utilization SoC that enable Edge computing (Local analytics) to perform AI (Artificial Intelligence) and machine learning processing at the gateway level.
  3. The intelligent “mobile IOT” (mIOT) gateway with Edge Computing capability.
