SPS IGNITE
The most awaited day, the event “SPS IGNITE” of IEEE Signal Processing Society Student Chapter of VIT Chennai Branch ended well and we had set up a new milestone.
The motive behind organizing the event was to provide the students with an opportunity to show the world the work that has been keeping them up at night. So, if they had been tirelessly tinkering with a tech project that solves complex problems and had applications to benefit society, then the event was best suited for them.
The event witnessed participants from VIT itself and other colleges too. The projects exhibited by the teams covered most of the domains that need innovation. The domains were:
- Image Processing
- Bio Medical
- Embedded Systems
- Mechatronics
During the event the evaluator’s pannel took a great responsibility to do full justice with the projects. As the projects were of different domains, it was challenging for the evaluator’s to rank the projects on the grounds of novelty of idea, innovation and execution in the first phase but they easily sorted out the way by assigning a challenging task to be accomplished in the second phase.
Finally the event had its winners and were awarded with cash prizes. Before concluding the event with vote of thanks by our faculty co-ordinator, the participants were asked for feedback. To our amazement, the participants stated that it was a great experience for them and the event was of a new kind. The participants were overwhelmed with the hospitality they were offered during the event course and before too. It was clear enough that they wanted to participate in future events organized in VIT as it promises them uniqueness.
We wish that “IEEE Signal Processing Society Student Chapter of VIT Chennai Branch” unlocks great achievement in future and continues to prosper.
