IEEE High Voltage Laboratory Visit in NIT Kurukshetra
As a part of IEEE PES Day Celebration, an activity which consisted of an academic visit to NIT Kurukshetra was been conducted by the IEEE Student Branch of IIT Mandi in collaboration with IEEE PEs-IAS Chapter Delhi Section on 25th April, 2018.
Around 16 students comprising of undergraduate, graduate and PhD research students of IIT Mandi had an academic visit to High Voltage Laboratory in NIT Kurukshetra on 25th April 2018.
Students had an opportunity to conduct many experiments which were the part of their academic curriculum. High Voltage Engineering has been the credit course work for many of the Electrical Engineering Students of IIT Mandi. There were experiments on Insulation Breakdown in Gas, Air and Liquid such as oil. Experiments on corona were also been conducted by the students. There were several other experiments been demonstrated by the faculty in charge of that laboratory. Further they had the interaction with the faculty and students of NIT Kurukshetra.
