IEEE Know Your Industry Networking Night
The annual Know Your Industry Night of the Griffith University Gold Coast Student Branch. This is an opportunity for industry representatives to connect with the upcoming graduates and for students to get an insight into life as an engineer, all while supporting a more inclusive industry. Industry professionals are encouraged to attend, have a drink and mingle with undergraduate students.
This year the event is held in collaboration with the campus WiE chapter.

Mr. Damien Sanford
NEM management and control.
The presentation will encompass a brief history of Damien's career as well as his advice for students. As well as his role in AEMO and the management of the NEM.
Biography:
Damien Sanford is the Executive General Manager (EGM) of Operations. Damien has led various operational functions within AEMO over the past decade, including most recently management roles in real-time electricity and gas operations.
Agenda
This year's event encompasses a keynote presentation by AEMO's Damien Sanford, then a diverse panel answering audience question. Followed by casual networking with drinks and light canapes.
