The Minnesota Power Thomson Hydroelectric Station is the largest hydro facility in Minnesota and provides an output of 72 MW. The facility has produced power since 1907.  In 2012, Thomson sustained major damage due to historic flood waters, but was fully restored and operating three years later.  The tour will include the generation station on the St Louis River in Jay Cooke State Park.
