“IEEE International Conference on Photonics and High Speed Optical Networks-ICPHON’18”
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at S.A. Engineering College, Chennaiorganized,SERB Sponsored “IEEE International Conference on Photonics and High Speed Optical Networks-ICPHON’18” in association with IEEE Photonics society madras Chapter from 12.04.2018 to 13.04.2018. Therewere 142 participants that includes faculty, UG & PG Students from various Engineering Colleges inside & outside Tamilnadu and Industrial Persons.
On Day 1, Dr.J.M.Mathana, Professor/Head, Department of ECE welcomed the gathering and she also expressed her gratitude to SERB for Sponsoring and the management & Principal for providing necessary infrastructure to organize the conference. Shri.D.Dasarathan, Secretary, S.A Engineering College, delivered the Presidential address and Dr.P.K.Nagarajan, Principal, S.A Engineering College felicitated the Chief Guests with mementos. Dr.P.A.Manoharan, M.Tech., Ph.D. Chairman - IEEE Madras Section,was the chief guest and delivered inaugural address in the conference. Dr.SrinivasTalabattula, Asso.Prof, ECE, Indian Institute of Science (IISC),Bengaluru was the chief guest and delivered the keynote address in the conference. Dr.C.Arunachalaperumal, Professor, ECE briefed the gathering about the conference. Dr.T.D.Subash, Chairman - IEEE Photonics Society Madras Chapter and Dr.T.Kalpalatha Reddy, Prof.& Dean, ECE Dept., SKR Engg. College, Chennai were the session chairs.
On Day 2, Mr.B.SatheeshMonikandan, M.Tech.,Asst.Prof., ECE Dept., Indian Naval Academy, Kerala was the chief guest and delivered the keynote address and acted as a session chair in the conference. Dr.V.Noor Mohammed, Asso. Prof., Dept. of Embedded Electronics, VIT University, Vellore was chief guest and also acted as a session chair. The valedictory ceremony was started at 3.00 P.M and the conference certificates were issued by the chief guests and Principal along with Head of the department.
The programme ended up with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Vanithalakshmi, Asso.Professor, ECE.
