Main Points Discussed During Meeting
- IEEE Signal Processing Society have members from following three division
- Signal Processing
- Communication
- Remote Sensing &Geoscience
- IEEE Signal Processing Society have around 85 members, which incudes
- IEEE Students Members
- IEEE Members
- IEEE Senior Members
- IEEE vtools used for reporting all events initiated/conducted by IEEE Signal Processing Society.
- Need to report all financial activity of IEEE Signal Processing Society using vtools
- Basic discussion has done to initiate to organize the followings events in nearby future
- Seminars
- Husameldin agreed to initiate to bring one distinguished speaker in the area of communication.
- Wathiq Mansoor, agreed to initiate/support for getting distinguished speaker (UoS or AUS) in the field of Signal Processing
- Decided to ask Mr. Saeed Al Mansoori from MBRSC to initiate to bring distinguished speaker in the field of Remote Sensing.
- Naoufel Werghi from Khalifa University want to invite Prof. Moncif from Finland. We have discussed about how to utilize Prof. Moncif presence in UAE.

- Discussed about how to collaborate with various conference conducted by reputed Universities in UAE
- Discussed about planning and bidding for Big Conferences for year 2021 or 2022
- Workshops
- Discussed about conducting various workshops in future in collaboration with Universities in UAE
- Wathiq Mansoor mentioned that we can only invite current distinguished speaker from any three division of IEEE Signal Processing Society under the sponsorship of IEEE.
- Discussed about to do some activity/effort to increase number of IEEE Signal Processing Society memberships in UAE.
- Is any KPI to evaluate the performance of various IEEE Societies to consider for best society awards
- Decided to conduct next monthly meeting on 31st May 2018 (Thursday 11am @ UD IT faculty meeting room)
