· Powerlink Substations HV plant standardization philosophy and package development for renewable connections: Concept Single Line Diagram, General Arrangement, Plant Schedule, Electrical Design Estimates.

· Typical electrical design calculation and studies required for renewable connection project: Earth Grid Study, Insulation Coordination Study, Direct lightning protection study, Underground Cable Rating calculation, and Electric and Magnetic Field calculation. 

· Revenue metering consideration: CT performance and accuracy specification consideration.

Biography:

Dzevad (David) Pita is currently Senior Electrical Design Engineer at Powerlink Queensland. David has graduated from University of Sarajevo with Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Electrical Engineering, as well as Master of Business Administration from Latrobe University Melbourne. David has over 27 years of industry experience specialising in the field of substation HV plant electrical design, having worked on numerous key substations projects at Powerlink Queensland, Transend Networks, Hydro Tasmania and Energoinvest Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). David is an active member of Engineers Australia, a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland and is an A3 panel (HV plant) member of CIGRE Australia.

Tian Yu (Tim) Zhang is currently Economic Process Specialist at Powerlink Queensland. Tim graduated from University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and Bachelor of Engineering Honours degree majoring in Electrical Engineering. Tim has over 7 years of industry experience specialising in the field of substation and transmission line electrical design as well as network portfolio economic analysis, having worked on several key substations projects at Powerlink Queensland, Energex, Areva T&D and Ergon Energy. Tim is an active member of Engineers Australia, a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland and is registered in the Engineers Australia National Engineer Register.
