How to Sell Early Stage Technology
The IEEE Consultants' Network of Northern NJ (www.TechnologyOnTap.org) will present a talk by Joseph X. Montemarano, PRISM Director for Industrial Enterprise, Princeton University. ALL ARE WELCOME!
ABOUT THE TOPIC
Rightly, or perhaps not, the Bayh-Doyle Act of 1980 is credited with a sea change in technology transfer efforts at U.S. universities. Today’s presentation will examine licensing efforts, challenges, and the impact of small technology companies who partner with universities to “de-risk” early stage technologies.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Mr. Montemarano joined Princeton University in July 1994, and has helped large and small companies access emerging technologies, faculty and other resources resulting in the launch of several spin-off companies, and successful technology commercialization initiatives. Prior to Princeton, he served as Associate Director for Science, Technology, and New Business Ventures with the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology.
