ENGINEERS MEET

Contract Engineering, AKA Job Shopping. WHY? Looking for work; change in job; searching for new opportunities; change in company. Shortage or surplus? You will never know. Out of college 2 years without your Engineering job and you can say BYBY to your career in Engineering. Contracting/Job Shopping is an alternating type of employment. With this type of employment, you may find a job around the corner you never knew existed. Members can express their views and get a good education about contract work. About the Meeting:

This meeting will provide you with the opportunity to learn about contract engineering-the relationship between the Contract Firm, Client Company and the Contract Engineer.(that’s you). The D, S & E High Tech Recruiting Index shows the fluctuations in the demand for college graduates.
The discussion will include:
The Function of Supply and Demand Contract Engineering, a 3rd. party
Contract Engineers, Who, What & Why
Labor Rates Example
Locating Contract firms
Playing the game
Interviews. Contracts and Negotiations.
You are encouraged to attend and bring your friends and associates.

Bring any job notices or employment information to the meeting. We need to all work together to help each other. Employment Opportunities are always welcome. All are invited. Bring your associates, friends and spouses, and we will talk about the profession.

He is a member of the North Jersey Section Executive Committee and presently the PACE chair for the Section. He is currently president of the American Engineering Association Inc., a professional organization dedicated to the enhancement of the American Engineering Profession and U.S Engineering Capabilities.

Food and beverages will be served during a mid-meeting break.
