IEEE Canada Student Congress 2018
This year we will be holding the Student Congress in conjunction with the Multi-generational Workshop (organized by Life Members), Young Professionals Congress and Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit. That means tons of networking opportunity!
The schedule for the Multigenerational Workshop and Student Congress are as follows:
Friday, Sept 14, 08:30 - 16:30: Multi-Generational Workshop
Saturday, Sept 15, 08:30 - 17:00: Student Congress
Sunday, Sept 16, 08:30 - 12:00: Student Congress
We invite ONE STUDENT AND ONE COUNSELOR per Student Branch in Canada (who have never before attended this event) to register for the 2018 IEEE Canada Student Congress in Mississauga, ON, the weekend of September 14 - 16, 2018. Once your registration is confirmed, you can go ahead and make travel plans.
We advise you to apply for travel grants offered by your institution or other sources. Normally, grants application process takes some time, therefore plan and apply ahead in time. Be sure to reach out to your student branch counselor and advisor as they are members of faculty and may have ideas or options.
We will also be offering travel reimbursements, but the number is limited to available funds. Hotel-related costs for Thursday evening through Sunday lunch will be covered by IEEE Canada.
Deadline for registration is FRIDAY, AUGUST 3, 2018!
If your Branch wishes to send additional members, please email mahsa.kiani@ieee.org to be placed on a waiting list. If space allows, you will be invited to register in August 2018. A $100 registration fee will apply for additional Branch members, and travel fees for additional members will NOT be reimbursed.
