ALL HYDERABAD COMPUTER SOCIETY STUDENT CONGRESS

THEME : DEMYSTIFYING AI AND BLOCKCHAIN


    IEEE CS SBC VCE initiated and piloted ”All Hyderabad Computer Society Student Congress”, the first ever sectional congress of IEEE Computer Society Hyderabad Section which was hosted by Vaagdevi College Of Engineering in the city of rich heritage-“Warangal” in support with IEEE Hyderabad section and IEEE Computer Society India Council SAC. This event was conducted for 3 days with the theme-Demystifying AI and Blockchain with eminent speakers from all over India and this mega student congress was successful in attracting over 300+ young minds from 23 different colleges of India.

DAY 1 started with the registrations at 12:00 PM and as soon as clock hit 1’ in the afternoon the registrations were closed,and the doors were open to the excited young minds for great learning experience. The event commenced by cultural performance of Haseena and offering prayers to Goddess Saraswati and customary Jyothi Prajwalana by the acclaimed dignitaries on dias.Later the dignitaries were asked to give address of gathering to the delegates.Soon after the completion of inauguration,Fifth edition of IEEE CS COMPUTE, a newsletter of IEEE Computer Society has been launched and compute team volunteers Munawar, Ajay, Gopija, Nagaraju shared their experiences with it.First session of All Hyderabad Computer Society Student Congress was delivered by Mr.M.Senthil Kumar on “Artificial Intelligence”. Mr. Senthil has given a basic idea on what AI is and how he used this technology to make life’s better for pregnant women under the banner of “SAVE MOM”.He told how he is able to solve the rural maternity deaths using AI and how he became CEO for GEOMEO. He inspired the young minds and insisted everyone to use technology for betterment of society.After the session a tiny break of 15 minutes was given also the break area was arranged with stalls of IEEE Membership Development, IEEE CS Compute, CSIS’18.After a refreshing break, Miss Moutan Sarkar from TCS delivered a session on “Cyber Security”. She tried to put some light on evolution of Cyber crime in today’s world and how technology is contributing in the department of Crime.After such an amazing session, Mr. Shivam shared his knowledge on “Applying Machine Learning” in an interactive approach. Mr.Shivam gave a detailed description on Machine Learning.He told about the project done by him which automatically recognizes the student face and gives attendance and other one which detects the animals in the dark night using IR. As the clock struck 6:30 in the evening, everyone was excited for the cool winter campfire. Campfire was lit by all the dignitaries and delegates were thrilled by environment around with enthralling music and dignitaries also tapped their feet encouraging the participants which stood as good networking platform. The first day of the mega student congress ended with tasty dinner and all the delegates were sent to the accommodation place safely.

DAY 2 has began with a session by Mr.Shekhar Tiwari and Mr.T.VidyaSagar on “Artificial Intelligence with Deep Learning” and the session was deeply about the AI and how it is useful to mankind with few real life examples.The second session is by Dr.Vijaya Latha Reddy on “CS Best Practices”. She has a given a clear view about CS and appreciated all the women delegates for coming forward to attend congress as maximum delegates were girls. There is a small tea break after continuous sessions which was also followed by stall exhibit.After the break all the delegates were informed about Facebook, Twitter Contest followed by session of Mr.Bala Prasad Peddigari on “Driving Transformation with AI and Blockchain – What is in the Box?”.After listening to mesmerizing sessions delegates had their lunch.Soon after the lunch few networking games were conducted for the delegates for 15 minutes followed by session of Mr.Parag Jain, CEO of Think Blynk, on “Blockchain for Finance and non-finance applications” where he explained how blockchain is playing a key role in finance and non-finance.The next session is on “Building Land Record Management System using Blockchain” by Sudhakar Kakkireni from TCS.He gave a brief explanation on Blockchain and how to build Land Record Management System using Blockchain.Next there comes an interactive session by Madhu Vadlamani from Kony on “AI – Conversational Applications”. He explained about AI Applications in Cyber Security and about decentralised AI. It was an amazing session by Mr.Madhu where everyone loved it.Next to that there was a sponsorship talk by Akshay Singh about media partner- MeraEvents.The next session is by Mr.Shivam,he is back on the stage once again to share is CS experiences and about the complete process of REM  Schloarship application form being a scholar. He also explained about CSIS and highlights of CSIS 18 followed by CSIS Promo lauch.After that delegates were informed about gala night and its timings followed by break.Cultural night started at sharp 6:00 PM with rocking performances by delegates and volunteers. Every college delegates represented their college by giving performance and cultural night ended with DJ by all the delegates & volunteers. Then it was followed by Gala Dinner and all the delegates returned to the accommodation places by 10:30PM.

DAY 3  The “ Tour the Warangal” was taken up by the team AHCSSC on the third day of the conference to show the delegates the beauty of Warangal.On behalf of this all the delegates were taken to Laknavaram to enjoy the aesthetic view and know the importance of aesthetic values.All the delegates were informed the before day itself about the tour and everyone including the volunteers were geared for the tour. As clock hit 5:00 AM all the delegates boarded into the buses with the help of few volunteers, this shows there enthusiasm.It took us 3 hours to reach Laknavaram, after reaching there all the delegates and volunteers had their breakfast and headed to Laknavaram Bridge. Everyone enjoyed the beauty of Laknavaram, they clicked few pictures and headed back from laknavaram with lots of memories.After such an amazing tour a delicious lunch is waiting at venue to feed the hungry stomachs of delegates immediately after reaching.Valedictory started at 2:00PM before that some of the delegates were given a chance to speak about their experience at AHCSSC. Every delegate appreciated the hospitality provided by vaagdevi and hark work done by volunteers.Finally the event is about to end!!!Vote of thanks was given by Mr.Sharif Mohammad, He shared about journey of IEEE AHCSSC from preparing a proposal to the end of the Congress and extended his gratitude to all the delegates for joining IEEE AHCSSC family and conveyed his heartful thanks to all the dignitaries and also thanked IEEE AHCSSC Sponsors - Viswambhara Educational Institutions, Princeton Review, SmartChaps Techno Solutions Pvt. Ticketing Partner – Explara, Supporting Partners – VAGE, Computer Society India Symposium'18, IEEE WIE National Leadership Summit,IEEE CS Compute for supporting IEEE AHCSSC.He applauded each and every volunteer from the bottom of his heart including  NCC, faculty, Police department , lighting and sounding system workers, sweepers and  drivers,and every volunteer of AHCSSC was given a special award as token of appreciation.At last Mr. Sharif dedicated the whole congress to peoples prime minister late Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam and also told few inspirational words of APJ Abdul Kalam Ji.Huge and eminent event of Hyderabad Section has come to an end, it was Valedictory.Everyone were happy at one end that the event was successful and sad at one end as it has come to an end.IEEE AHCSSC ended with National Anthem followed by a photo session.
