Startup Summit 2018
The Third edition of the Startup Summit was conducted at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE), Moodabidri on February 24th at MITE. The event is conducted every year with an objective to stimulate the young graduates of today to evolve as Innovators and Entrepreneurs by inviting prominent leaders from the industry and also towards provide them the perspectives of Entrepreneurial ventures. The event was co-hosted by MITE New Age Incubation Network and IEEE MITE Student Branch. Mr. Ajith Kumar, General Manger, Digital Technologies & IoT, ITC Infotech inaugurated the Summit. Mr. Ajith Kumar also had a discussion with the students who had submitted ideas and gave his valuable suggestions.
The summit involved Ideathon Contest, where shortlisted 30 Student Innovative ideas were judged by Senior Industry Leaders. A total of 126 ideas were submitted in the initial round in November 2017, of which after 30 best Projects were reviewed. The Panel Members included Dr. U C Niranjan, Director, Manipal Dot Net, Mr. Raviprasad Upadhyaya, Chartered Engineer and Govt. Regd valuer, Premier Associates, Mr. Raghavendra Ganiga, CEO, Mobiezy. Mr. Mohan T, Director, Pace Wisdom Solutions, Mr. Harsha D J , Technical Architect, HCL India, Mr. Yedu Krishnan, director, Tachus Technology Pvt Ltd, Mr. Arun Bhat and Mr. Shazad Maved, Director, MindStack. The initiatives are planned to bring in a entrepreneurial eco system in the college.
A 24 Hour Hackathon on Smart Technologies - AI, Intelligent Systems, Smart Weaables,
A 24 Hour Hackathon on Smart Technologies was conducted to stimulate the young graduates of today to evolve as Innovators and Entrepreneurs. The event witnessed 30 Teams participating in a rigorous Coding Marathon which started on 23rd Feb 1pm and concluded on 24th Feb 1pm. The event was conducted by IEEE Student Branch in association with Hackerearth and Startup companies.
