National Workshop on DCS & PLC Technology
IEEE PES Student Branch chapter National Institute of Technology Calicut in association with Department of Electrical Engineering National Institute of Technology Calicut has conducted a Two days National Workshop on "DCS & PLC Technology", on October 26-27 , 2018.
The main agenda of the workshop was to acquaint Students, Faculty and Researchers with the latest trends in Industry about DCS and PLC Systems.The welcome address was given by Dr Ashok S. ( Branch Advisor) IEEE PES SB NIT Calicut. Experts from V I Microsystems Pvt. Ltd have come for the training. They have initially given a presentation talk on the various trends in Industry with regard to DCS and PLC Technologies.
The worshop covered the following topics with hands on training:
Introduction to PLC and DCS Systems
PCS7 and Digital Twin with Real time Examples
Description on AS10 CPU and SIMCODE Module
Integration of PLC IoT and PCS7
IoT and its Applications
Integration of SIMIT and PCS
A total of 70 participants including Students, Faculty of various Engineering Colleges and Researchers attended the programme.

Total Internal Participation: 44
