Abstract:

The scope of this interactive discussion will cover both rooftop and ground mounted solar system. Different types of solar rooftop system will give a perspective of different types of roof and their adaptability. Challenges and a guideline of mitigation measures of rooftop solar design will be covered in this discussion. Introduction of different components and their technical due diligence measures are one of the key outlines of this lecture. This will also include two major challenges that global PV community are phasing – Potential Induced Degradation (PID) and Snail trail effects. Two key business models will be introduced by describing the project lifecycle process flows. It will also cover the system design guideline that what are the key aspects of detail design for a ground mounted and rooftop system. Importance of operation and maintenance will be covering in an interactive discussion. This lecture will conclude with an interactive discussion on the innovation towards the energy solution transformations and its sustainability.
