Session1: Machine Learning, IoT and BlockChain.
An introduction to TCS Connected Universe Platform (TCUP) which is the cloud based platform developed by
TCS was given and certain applications being developed using TCUP like Bus Tracking System, Health Wallet
& Connected Wellness were demonstrated.
Session2: Smarter Analytics for Transformation.
An interactive session conducted by Mr Sharangdhar Sharma on how big data analytics and hadoop is driving
the whole world and how this analytics can be used to take business decisions or understand the efficacy of any
deployed system. He also did a comparative analysis of OLAP and OLTP.
Session3: Recent Trends in Mobility
The session by Mr Amol Raghuse began with the quote of TCS chairman that “Going digital is no longer an
option, it is the default”. The speaker explain how mobility focusses on improving user experience and gave a
detailed insight into various types of mobile applications such as Web Applications, Hybrid Applications and
Native Applications. Basic architecture and system requirements of such applications were also discussed
during the session. Mobility trends as well as IoT applications were also touched upon. The session finished
with an overview of Immersive Technologies like VR, AR and MR.
Session4: Design Thinking, Agile, Devops
The culminating session of the FDP was very interactive and the participants were given hands on demo on
Design Thinking and Agile through Gamification. The speaker brought out three important trends of Program

Focussed on bridging the gap between industry and academia, during the 50th anniversary celebration of TCS, a
combined faculty development program was organised a by TCS for all partnering institutes in the central India.
Faculty members from nearly 16 colleges from the length and breadth of central India participated in the same.
