Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering and science that includes mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and others. Robotics deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. A sensor is an electronic component, module, or subsystem whose purpose is to detect events or changes in its environment and send the information to other electronics, frequently a computer processor. A sensor is always used with other electronics, whether as simple as a light or as complex as a computer. We all know as the world is moving towards a new era of the automation how much a robot can make a difference in one’s life style.

The students were given a fixed time along with components such as robot chasis, motors, IR sensors. They had to build a line follower robot in given time. First and second prizes were given away.
