INAUGURAL FUNCTION OF IEEE STUDENT BRANCH
With 32 student members and 5 professional members, Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology has established an IEEE Student Branch at its campus. The main motto behind establishing the Student Branch at RIET is to provide a platform to the students where they can interact with their peer group from around the section and also with the professional members from around the globe to develop professional skills to solve personal as well as social problems. IEEE Student Branch of RIET was inaugurated on 3rd November 2018. IEEE RIET Student Branch was inaugurated by the Chief guest Mr. Gopakumar S, Deputy Director (RTD) VSSC, TVM & Guest of Honor Ms. Sarada Jayakrishnan DGM (Qulaity), Terumo Penpol.The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lightning of the lamp by the dignitaries- :Dr. K. C. Raveendranathan, Principal, RIET: Mr. Gopakumar(Chief Guest) Deputy Director (RTD) VSSC, TVM ,Ms. Sarada Jayakrishnan(Guest of Honour) DGM(Quality), Terumo Penpol, TVM,Mr. Sabarinath Pillai, SJCET, Palai, Mr. Nandan S., LBS, Trivandrum,Mr. Shankar J, UKF, Trivandrum who graced the occasion with their valuable presence.

- Graduated in Electronics and Communication from College of Engineering, Trivandrum in 1972
- Joined Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Trivandrum in 1973.
- Served VSSC for 39 years in various capacities like:
- Head, Navigation Software and Simulation Division, IISU
- Head, Computer Division,VSSC
- Group Director, Computer and Network Group
- Deputy Director, Management Systems Area
- Served as Consultant / Group Head, Technology Group at Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (CDIT), Trivandrum from 2012 to 2015
- Currently Senior Partner at Ciber Digita Consultants (CDCLLP), Trivandrum
Highlights:
- 12 years experience in design and testing of spacecraft systems(Aryabhatta, Rohini, APPLE)
- 18 years experience in design, development and testing of Launch vehicle systems(ASLV, PSLV, GSLV)
- 8 years in planning, implementing, and managing a central computing facility and IT infrastructure for VSSC and developing Enterprise Software Solutions
- 1 year as Dy. Director of Management Systems Area
- 3 and half years as consultant at CDIT – State Coordinator Kerala Chief Minister’s Jana SamparkaParipadi 2013 & 2015

Ms.SARADA JAYAKRISHNAN of Terumo Penpol
Biography:
Sarada Jayakrishnan - Active IEEE volunteer and Vice Chair of IEEE Kerala Section. Has been the recipient of 2014 R10 WIE Best Professional Volunteer award. Past Secretary and WIE Chair of IEEE Kerala Section.
Alumini of CET Trivandrum has experience in manufacturing industry of close to 26 years. Currently Heading the Quality group of Terumo Penpol, part of the Medical device major Terumo Corporation, Japan.
