Annual Air Force Academy ECE Senior Capstone Project Review on May 8

On Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 4:30 PM the Pikes Peak Section of the IEEE will meet at the Air Force Academy to participate in the Senior Capstone Project Review which is sponsored annually by the ECE Department. Senior Cadets in Electrical/Computer Engineering and other engineering disciplines will display and describe the projects that they have developed.

Our section will also provide pizza and awards for the event.

As in past years we will select several of our members to evaluate the projects for awards. We will later create plaques for First, Second and Third places to be displayed at the Academy IEEE Student Branch office.

IEEE members, their high school age students and guests are invited to attend.

Registration is required for everyone, including students and guests, in order for us to obtain the list of names for access. Members can register their students and guests. Use their First and Last Name and your member number, address etc.

Fairchild Hall is in the Cadet Area and thus more restricted. You may be required to surrender your driver’s license at the Cadet Area Gate and retrieve it when leaving. Visitor badges may be issued at the gate.

Due to access processing you MUST allow approximately 20 minutes to process from the outer main base gates through security prior to reaching Fairchild Hall!

We will be met at 4:00 to 4:15 pm in the parking area to the East of Fairchild. Please be on time!

Attendance is limited so register early. If you later learn you cannot attend please contact us at the e-mail link below to cancel your reservation. If you try to register but it is full also contact us and we can likely adjust the count and allow you to register.

Meeting Agenda:
Members and guests will view the projects and interact with cadets and faculty starting at 4:30 pm. Some members will evaluate and select the awards. Pizza and soft drinks will be served at 6pm followed by the awards presentation.
