Assessing Sustainability of Urban Environments - Remote Sensing Analysis of Urban Expansion and The Sustainable Development Goals(SDG)
Professor John Trinder held executive positions in the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) from 1992-2008 and is currently an Honorary Member. He currently holds the position of Visiting Emeritus Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of NSW. Professor Trinder visited China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) on Dec.12. He gave a presentation about the sustainable development and the introduction of sustainability indicators (SI) for the three pillars of social, economic and environmental, followed by some principles of assessing sustainability of development in urban areas. This talk was given in Room 222, School of Geophysics and Geo-informatics, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). About 50 teachers and students attended this presentation.
