INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO CPRI
INTRODUCTION:
The Industrial Visit to Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) was conducted exclusively for the fourth year students from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department by Power and Energy Society under IEEE - VBIT SB. Since it is highly recommended for the students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering department to have an updated knowledge to practically implement theoretical subjects being taught in college, this visit helped in stimulating the heuristic approach of students towards learning. The students also got an opportunity to comprehend the internal working of the company along with acquiring exposure towards the testing equipment and testing demonstration held at CPRI.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
• Industrial Visit to CPRI bestowed the students to bridge their postulatory comprehension and empirical observation.
• The academicians at the CPRI conducted various sessions and elucidated the students regarding diverse testing demonstrations and testing equipment.
• The correlation between the classroom learning and industrial application was attained by the students triumphantly.
OVERVIEW:
• The Industrial Visit to CPRI was effectively organized by Power and Energy Society under IEEE - VBIT SB for the fourth year students of EEE department.
• The students were notified with the rules and regulations to be followed during the visit.
• The faculty of the EEE department also uplifted the students to participate in the visit.
• The students were guided by the Organizing Committee wherein the first session commenced at 12:30 PM. The students were given a summary regarding the operations of the Power Factor lab.
• The second session commenced in the Pollution Control Lab, where the students were demonstrated various tests carried out on electrical equipment.
• The third session started at 3:00 PM wherein the lightning and switching impulse voltage test on electrical equipment were illustrated to the students.
• The sturdy efforts of the organizing committee, the persistent support from the EEE department and a striking response of the students resulted in the visit to be a remarkable one.

Owing to its motive, the Industrial Visit to CPRI has manifested to bridge the gap between conceptual knowledge and empirical observation thus helping the students to comprehend the subject exceptionally.
