The meeting was focused on optical networks. The following elements were  presented: line driver (LD) / optical amplifiers (OA), fixed optical multiplexer SFD44, wavelength selective switch, colorless wavelength router (CWR), optical transponder (OT), quadruple pluggable 10G anyrate transponder. The types of optical nodes and their configuration were presented.

The second part of the meeting was focused on protection and restoration. The following types of protection were given: O-MSP,  OLP, OCHP, O-SNCP, E-SNCP, diverse path / dual homing.  Restoration types wre presented also:  GMPLS source based restoration (SBR),

restoration upon failure, GMPLS protection restoration combined (PRC), GMPLS guaranteed restoration (GR), restoration with pre-calculated. On the end protection vs restoration was done.
