WIES Spring Lunch Speaker- Christine Bakke
WIES Spring Meeting: March 19th, 12-1pm at LHB in Duluth.
We are excited to have Christine Bakke present on the importance of requiring K12 schools to include Technology and Engineering as part of their regular classroom curriculum - for all students - for all ages. Many k-12 schools only have technology and engineering as optional classes in High School and robotics clubs/sports. They do not teach technology or engineering anywhere in the required curriculum. Her presentation will discuss why and how people can support this change.
Christine Bakke has a background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering and educational instruction. Her career has emphasized database, programming, networking, webmaster and technology. Currently, she is a full time instructor in Software Engineering & Information Technology
at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
