IEEE Consultants’ Network of San Diego
Topic: Cinematic Video Production –

Bridging the Technical & Artistic!

Speaker: Paul Bellfy

Join us for a very special evening in 4K UHD you won’t want to miss!  This is a rare chance to learn many exciting aspects of professional video production.

We’re going beyond normal video production to the Cinematic realm, with behind the scenes looks at professional color grading and post production with the same programs used in Hollywood Blockbusters!

This presentation will answer all your questions about the different video formats and their uses in the post production processes.  We’ll highlight the professional NLE (non-linear editors) and VFX programs and compare them to the traditional consumer video editing software.

We’ll discuss the various codecs, shutter/aperture combinations, bit-depths, color depths, etc.  Side by side comparisons of video will be presented.

An overview of the hand-made custom rigging for both the camera and stage/set components will be covered as well as the usage and purpose of each.  A custom-built Arduino based PWM product turntable will be demonstrated live!

This will be a fun event and you’ll leave excited about the technical and artistic aspects of video production.  Emotion, passion, creativity…Every frame is Cinematic Beauty!

NOTE: Parts of this presentation will be captured on video for use with Bellfive Studios marketing.
