Agenda
The seminar will discuss various scenarios of DER/microgrids interconnections with different DER sizes, penetration levels and microgrid composition and study impact on electric power system and what techniques and solutions can be used to make the interconnection smooth. The seminar will cover how the IEEE 1547:2018 standard addressed those challenges and establishes criteria and requirements for interconnection of DERs to EPS. The discussion will also include performance of DER during abnormal situation like faults and islanded operation, how the standards addressed it and what are the practical solutions offered in this field.
