On Tuesday, March 5th, we will be hosting a discussion with Dean Landers from Retlif Testing Laboratories to learn about the world of electromagnetic compatibility testing. Dean will walk us through why this kind of testing is important, what industries need this, what standards apply, and how the testing is accomplished.

Please join us at 6:00 PM for a light dinner, followed by the presentation, and a Q&A session. PDH's are available for licensed engineers!

Dean Landers is an electrical engineer with Retlif Testing Laboratories. Graduating from West Virginia University in 2003 with degrees in electrical and computer engineering, his career includes tenures at Two Technologies in Horsham, PA, and Formation (later a division of EMS Aviation) as an electrical engineer working in the aerospace industry.

For the last eight years at Retlif Testing Laboratories, Dean has worked primarily as a developer of test procedures for military testing programs, which are approved by government agencies such as NAVAIR, NAVSEA, the US Air Force, and the US Army.  In the laboratory, Dean developed knowledge and experience with different test specifications, supporting customers looking to achieve compliance in different markets, and working with military contractors in an effort to gain approvals for military equipment.

His current focus is within the engineering division of Retlif developing proposals for future testing, working with the engineering group developing and improving new processes and test methodologies, and supporting the laboratory when issues arise.

Retlif is an independent testing and engineering organization founded in 1978 on Long Island, NY.  Currently based in Ronkonkoma, NY, Retlif has testing locations in Harleysville, PA, and Goffstown, NH. Retlif’s technical expertise in testing and engineering services  provides clients with the means to achieve regulatory or customer imposed conclusions, a value measurable through product acceptance and market access.

Retlif provides both Electromagnetic Interference Compatibility testing as well as Environmental Simulation Services.  These combined efforts enable Retlif to be a world player in compliance, including acceptance from the USCG and worldwide accreditation for a myriad of test methods and specifications.
