Flanders Tour
The March section meeting is a tour of Flanders. Flanders rebuilds very large motors for heavy industry and mining, among other things.
They are providing us with pizza and softdrinks after the tour.
It is recommended that you wear long pants and closed toe shoes.
Please come to the front door of the brown brick building.
A technology innovator, custom manufacturer, and electrical systems troubleshooter for heavy industry, FLANDERS designs, engineers, produces, and services industrial power systems and control systems. We specialize in electric rotating machinery for high-demand applications across mining, mills, and heavy industry.
FLANDERS innovations include North America’s first DC to AC dragline conversion and our ground-breaking open-architecture control system for mining machines, used to automate the first fully autonomous fleet of mining drills. We’ve also developed higher-performance motors and drives for some of the world’s largest heavy industrial machines.
Founded as a two-man motor repair shop in 1947 in Evansville, Indiana, FLANDERS today remains privately owned and is a third-generation family business with global reach. We have nearly a million square feet of facility space and Regional Service Centers (RSCs) across North and South America, Australia, and South Africa.
