What is your personal brand identity?  How does it support your career advancement?

 It takes 5 – 7 seconds for others to form their first impressions about who we are.  What do we want them to know about us in those fleeting first moments?   Longer term, how do we consistently and authentically reinforce our personal brand? What do we need to know about ourselves to help us navigate today’s complex business environment?

 During this interactive discussion, we will consider 2 key aspects of building our personal brand identity:

  1. simple tips and techniques to quickly establish a credible and genuine presence; and
  2. creating and sustaining our personal image and brand for the long term.

Biography:

With more than 30 years’ experience as a business leader, Chris brings a deep understanding of the issues facing today’s senior and emerging leaders. As an executive coach and management consultant and a founding partner in Halifax Global Inc., she specializes in providing executives with strategic counsel, coaching and advisory, planning and facilitation services.


Prior to launching her coaching and consulting career, Chris worked in the public and private sectors in Canada and the US as an executive in workers’ compensation, health insurance and health IT. Her clients represent diverse sectors including health care, research and scientific, post-secondary education, social services and government services organizations, among others.
Many of Chris’ clients are women leaders nationally, regionally and locally. Much of her work is about diversity and inclusion including women in technology, persons with disabilities, and immigrants and refugees.


Passionate about women’s issues, Chris serves on the executive of the International Women’s Forum Canada – Atlantic Chapter and acts as a mentor to young women and men through the Halifax Partnership Connector Program, ISANS and Futurpreneur. She is the incoming President of the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbourside and the Chair of the Refugee Sponsorship Committee.
