Biography:

Dr. Latha Christie is a Senior Scientist with around 31 years of experience and presently the Associate Director in Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defense, Bangalore. After graduating in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Tamil Nadu with Honours, she completed her Master’s and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.  She completed her International Executive Diploma in Project Management from I2P2M in collaboration with George Washington University School of Business, Washington DC, USA.  She has received the prestigious Prof. Satish Dhawan Award for Engineers, instituted by the Government of Karnataka, for outstanding achievements in the field of engineering sciences for the year 2014, awarded by the Chief Minister and the AGNI Team Award for Excellence in Self-Reliance. She has a patent, and has around 60 publications in International Journals and Conferences. She has authored two books:

  1. A technical book: Coupled-Resonator Slow-Wave Structures for Traveling-Wave Tubes: An Analysis, LAP Lambert Academic Publishing, 2010. 240 pages. € 79.
  2. A social book on Domestic Abuse faced by women: When the Flame Flickers: Emerging from Marital Abuse, SAIACS, 2015. 200 pages, 200. This book has been recommended by various psychologists and theologians across the globe and has sold more than 1500 copies.
  3. The third book Beyond the boundaries of science is under print.
