A workshop on MATLAB
IEEE Student Branch IIT (BHU) Varanasi conducted a workshop on MATLAB during April 13-14 2019 at Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT (BHU) Varanasi. The workshop was conducted on basic concepts of MATLAB; Array operation, Matrix functions, Character strings, Script/Function (conditional functions) M-file, Linear Algebra, Non-linear algebra equations, Ordinary differential equations, Curve fitting, Graphics (various plots) and optimization techniques.
It got a huge response from the students (B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D.) of various disciplines, nearly 240 registrations have been made. Due to limited funds of IEEE SB IIT (BHU) Varanasi, the concepts were taught by the senior students of IIT (BHU) Varanasi voluntarily to the beginners. And also, the workshop was organized at free of cost to the participants. After successfully completing the workshop, the feedback was taken from the students, which was very positive towards the speakers, tutors and IEEE SB volunteers. After getting the feedback, the IEEE SB is planned to conduct multiple workshops on MATLAB in the upcoming days.
