"Improving Cybersecurity Education at all Levels"


The Virginia Cyber Range and Volgenau School of Engineering, George Mason University are hosting the 2nd Annual Virginia Cybersecurity Education Conference on Tuesday August 13 and Wednesday August 14, 2019. This conference is open to all Virginia high school, college, and university faculty, administrators, cybersecurity professional and community partners. The IEEE Northern Virignia Section is a teacher aide sponsor and the Joint Education Chair is serving on the Cyber Range Executive Committee. 

This year's theme is:

"Improving Cybersecurity Education at all Levels"

The following four tracks are for this years conference:

  1. Cybersecurity instruction: tips, trends & lessons learned

  2. Incorporating hands-on cybersecurity activities

  3. Innovative cybersecurity courseware and cyber-education case studies

  4. Cyber workforce development and credentialing

Register early as last year the conference reached max capacity.

    The 2nd Annual Virginia Cybersecurity Education Conference will be held at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.  Most events will take place in the Johnson Center. The Networking Reception will take place in the Center for the Arts, Concert Hall Lobby.
