XX Technology Center Academic Week
The Academic Week of the Technology Center aims to propose five days in which the students have lectures on various subjects, participate in courses and presentations of projects. This was the 20th Academic Week of the Technology Center (SACT) and was held from April 1 to 5, 2019, at the campus of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Konrad Erich Kork Schmitt, IEEE PES UFSM chair, presented a lecture about the IEEE Institution and the activities developed by the chapter. Miguel Martins, IEEE PES UFSM member, presented a lecture about the NBR10. Chapter members taught courses on the OpenDSS and Matlab programs.

IEEE PES UFSM Student Chapter Activities
Biography:
He studies Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) since march of 2015. Is currently Chair of IEEE PES UFSM Student Chapter and scientific initiation student at Center of Excellence in Energy and Power Systems (CEESP). His research field is in electrical power systems, with an emphasis in voltage regulation and control, smart grids operation, renewable energy sources and distributed generation.
