One Day Workshop on “Circuit Design using LT SPICE”
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, MCKV Institute of Engineering organized a One-Day Workshop on “Circuit Design using LT SPICE”on 9thFebruary, 2019. The workshop was technically sponsored by IEEE SSCS, Kolkata Chapter. The event was specially designed to introduce the LT SPICE software to students and its applications in complex circuit designs. The focus area of the workshop were circuit theory and introduction to VLSI design.The workshop was attended by 4th/6th semester students of the Institute.
After the introductory lecture on Basics of Circuit Theory, hands on Session was conducted in the laboratory using LT SPICE software. LT spice is a high performance SPICE simulation software, schematic capture and waveform viewer with enhancements and models for easing the simulation of analog circuits. This Circuit Design toolis web based or downloadable but always free to use.
Mr. Subhasish Banerjee, Assistant Professor, ECE Department and Mrs. Mahua Raha (Patra), Laboratory Instructor, ECE Department helped students to learn the software and understand its use.Mr. Kalyan Biswas,(EXComm member, IEEE SSCS Kolkata Chapter) Co-ordinated the whole event.
Total 33B.Tech. students (21 from 6th Semester and 12 from 4thsemester) attended the program. Participation certificates were awarded to the participants. Students were excited about the event and expressed desire to attend such type of events in future.
